The Glaston Group is group of Glastonbury residents who are exploring how the services offered to ‘pilgrim’ visitors to the town might be enhanced. The group acts as a catalyst working with others to help with the additional services that seem to be needed.
Helping Glastonbury to come into its own is an exciting project. If you would like to be actively involved or merely kept informed of the work of the Glaston Group, please get in touch with us giving brief details of your own areas of interest and where we may contact you.

Western Order of Druids

A local Order of Druids in Glastonbury re-formed on Saturday 16th September 2006. It is proposed that our new Order be called the Western Order of Druids, abbreviated 'WOOD'. This name reflects the fact that not all of our activities are confined to Glastonbury.

Our vision is to create and maintain a permanent contemporary Goddess Temple openly dedicated to the Goddess in Glastonbury and its Otherworldly counterpart, the Isle of Avalon. The Goddess Temple is a sacred space open to all, which is specially set aside for the exploration and celebration of the Divine Feminine. It is a holy place where we can worship and honour Her in ways that are old and new and where all our love for Her is welcome.

"The controversy at Bimini began in 1968 with the discovery of the underwater Bimini Road and the immediate assertion that it was a portion of Atlantis. In 1940, the famous psychic, Edgar Cayce, predicted that a portion of Atlantis would be found near Bimini in 1968 and 1969.
